No-Gi BJJ / Submission
Wrestling or Grappling
Submission grappling (or No-Gi) is a cross training of various grappling arts. It uses elements of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Sambo, Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, Catch Wrestling and Greco-Roman Wrestling with the goal of controlling and eventually submitting your opponent.
In No-Gi grappling, grabbing the clothes is not allowed. Instead, practitioners can try to control an opponent by gripping the body’s natural handles: the neck, the wrist, the elbow, the knee, the hips, etc.
(No-Gi gear is available for purchase. Speak to a staff member to inquire.)
